just about where I want to be

0 posted 2000-02-01 11:36 AM

I cannot promise you
That I will not change
I cannot promise you
That I will not be hurt
I cannot promise you
That I will not shout
I cannot promise you
That I will not run away
I cannot promise you
my faults will not show

But-
I can promise you
I will always be there
I can promis you
I will share my feelings
I can promise you
You will not be tied down
I can promise you
I will be honest
I can promise you
I will help you through tough times
But-
Most of all
I promise you
I will always love you

Me and my b/f got back together. This is sort of a celebration poem.

scg: i really like the "but" lines... not sure why, but i feel that they really add to the poem... perhaps it's because they give a break from the flow of the poem.. *shrugs* either way, i like it... and congratulations and many happy tidings...

sincerely,
jerome the boy with no brain

A savage place! as holy and enchanted
As e'er beneath a waning moon was haunted
By woman wailing for her demon-lover!
