One voice cries out among thousands
Can anyone hear? Does anyone care?
His head turns, he's searching,
He feels her despair
He can taste her fury, her madness,
He tries desperately to find her
To break through the masses that bind her
Her volume is rising, climbing
As he runs to her, flies to her,
Races against time to her
Monsterous thunder! Flash of light!
"Oh my darling, my beloved!"
So silent, so still
He collapses by her side
Blood turns to ice at the sight
She is gone, lost in her plight
He lowers his head, one tear falls
Then another, another, another
Her face is wet, his tears on her eyes
They do not see through his sorrow's disguise
He's running, running, away from this place
This place where she met her fate
Where his love came too late

Thanx, actually I do write cheerful poetry too, but it turns out that this one wasn't.

Well, I personally am a big fan of tragic poetry.  Appeals to the dark side of me, you could say.  And this appealed quite well.  Exellent work, I enjoyed this a lot!

~*Like a lion, without fear of the howling pack,
Like a gust of wind, ne'er trapped in a snare,
Like a lotus blossom, ne'er sprinkled by water,
Let me, like a unicorn, in solitude roam.*~ Hymn Of Buddha
