The rose I wore,
Is still here.
I forgot all about it,
Until I looked through the memories of the past.
You were always there,
And whenever I would cry,
In your arms is where I’d always be.
The pain always seemed to disappear when I was with you,
In your arms, and you in my thoughts.
The rose I wore,
It holds so many memories,
More than I ever thought it could.
As I hold it now,
I know that I can count on you,
To be there when I need you most.
Has our friendship become more,
You hold me, and I know,
I belong here, In your arms.
The rose I wore,
Holds my thoughts of you.
I lost myself,
In the memories held by the rose I wore.

Great first post, I must have been blind when I missed it the first time around, heh. Well, I guess this calls for a belated welcome to passions!

The past always comes back to haunt you, but there is always a way to fight it if it hurts you.  keep your chin up and look on the bright side of life.  continue your journey.  and keep up the great work.

You did a good job at expressing the feelings in this poem. I can relate, sometimes memories like that come back yet i feel it's just to see how strong we are and if we can handle it. Anyhow... Welcome to passions and i hope to see some more of your poetry.

I am really proud of this poem inparticular, as it is the only one that i wrote in about 5 mins and turned out so (dare i say) perfect(compared to some of my others that i refuse to post)

I think describing your past as a rose which holds all your memories is a very beautiful and original idea. It gives light to your words. Way cool.
