Oh God,
Give me the strength
To hold up my shoulders.
Relieve the burden of
Living for only one.
Oh God,
Don't shut me away.
For i need you now
To tell me what is
Needed, needs to be done.
Oh God,
I pray for you here
On my breaking knees.
Aching for an answer
That'll let them unfold.

I've searched within me
And found a fickle fantasy.
One that keeps me guessing.
I turn to you,
Oh God,
For one that's real.
The sun's rays turn black
And the candle's burn out
By the passing wind.
Give me a light,
Oh God,
So that i can follow...

"It's my heart that pounds beneath my flesh
it's my mouth that pushes out this breath..."-FTE

Great poem. I like the symbolism that you have placed within it.  The candle and wind.  That was a fantastic idea. Good job.  Hope to see more posted by you.
