It's been awhile since I've written anything new...so I'm kind of rusty...

As I slip from all reality
I fade into my nighttime world of dreams
The darkness surrounds me
And envelops me in its arms
An eternity seems to pass
Though in truth only moments
The scene slowly appears before me
The curtain rises
And the world is spinning before my very eyes
I am lost in something, perhaps only in my own thougts
Unconscious, unknown to me
And so I discover them only in the deepest slumber
Again I am drifting off
Only to find myself floating through time and space
Familiar objects pass by
A flower so near I can smell it's sweet fragrance,
but just out of reach
And I realize my unconscious desire
No, not a simple flower
But love.
As I enter the darkness once more
I try to hold onto the thought
But, like the flower, it slips through my fingertips into the star filled sky
I know that it was meant to remain in my dreamworld
It's symbolism too powerful for reality
As the darkness fades into light
I remember nothing
Except that I am searching
For that thought.
