I have quiet confidence
that she likes me.
Is it by coincidence
that when i look into her eyes
I see something more, affection?
And when i see her smile,
Everything seems worthwhile.

How nice it is to be loved by someone
To have someone to run, laugh and play in the sun.
To treasure with all your heart and soul.
To love her for all she is, from head until her toe.
To hold up the skies when things are down.
To dry up your tears and wipe off your frown.

But I wanna know if it is true
I long for the words "I love you".
That I may for once soar to the skies
and fly with the graceful sparrows
To be with the angels who never dies
and to depart from my sorrows.

And yet there is much fear within
that I'm loving you too much, its become a sin.
If I tell you the very words of my heart
will you keep away, or even depart?
If I say I like you, what will you do
will you treat me like another fool?
I can't bear to go through that,
so I dare not even try
to tell you that I love you,
and silently I cry.

Lovely.  It wound down so sadly at the end, but it is beautiful.  Very nice.

Very nice poem.  I especially enjoyed your pungent contrast of joy and sorrow.  Very cool.

Awesome poem. You had me hooked from the first verse to the last one. I know exactly what you are talking about in this writing because I to am fight the same battle as we speak. There is this girl and I don't want to ruin a friendship or have her laugh in my face, so I keep my emotions to myself. Yet this cannot be very healthy.... but that’s how it goes. Anyway, I loved the poem and feel it was very appropriately titled.

Eagle, may I suggest maybe showing her this poem??  I know I would be touched if someone wrote a poem like this about me.  Maybe it might spark something inside of her, and who knows, maybe she does have feelings for you that she is hiding too.  Its better to find out, then never know, and possibly lose something that could have made you happy for the rest of your life!!  (just a suggestion)  I enjoyed the poem though!
