Everything I have ever believed in is going away My morals, my values, my knowledge of right versus wrong They are all leaving, lost almost completely and forever There is one more step I must take before they are all gone. There is a constant battle in my mind and my heart If I take the last step I could be lost forever But if I don't and I wait and wait, going slowly insane I could miss a very exquisite experience Do I really want to lose my innocence forever And leave it unretrievable to myself? Do I want to give away my most precious gift For a few moments of pleasure? I've never even asked myself these questions before, There was never a doubt in my mind that I would hold on to myself But now I just want to let go And experience. 11-6-96 |
