I swear to God,
Sometimes I just want to fly off the handle,
Scratch you face
Bruise you body
Break your bones.
Sometimes I think you aren't pretending.
That this isn't a game
or maybe I could win.
But this game is controled by the house.
Like blackjack,
roulette,
russian roulette.
One bullet, six chamber.
Do you want to die?
Do you care to meet you maker?
A twisted God is he?

Did you hide it well?
Well, we can't all be perfect.
So cut me some slack buddy
c'mon you know you want to
fall in L*ve.
Don't say that nasty word!!!
You need you mouth washed out with soap.
Someday you too will know
I care only about me,
An that's how is should be
So if you fall in L*ve
I'll break your heart
so that you never make that
mistake again.

C'mon inside,
We'll play a game
see who takes the wrong step first
who loses their heart.
Are you going up against me?
Are you stupid?
Oh, I see!
You think you can make me
fall in L*ve with you.
Anything is possible, I guess.
But if I get in first
You lose heart, soul and mind.
You think it's worth the risk?
So give in a try
Step inside,
My twisted mind.

jer ~ i dig this poem... you have some good thoughts in your poetry... this is going to be a response to all the poems you've posted (since there are quite a few of them and i'm too lazy to respond to each one)... i think it's awesome to see a teenage poet writing about something other than lost-loves and teen-struggles... i applaud you on your ability to look beyond the confinement of adolescence and write about social and philosophic issues... as for this poem in particular, though i dont agree with the sentiment of the speaker, i like the poem itself...

sincerely,
**jerome the boy with no brain
