YOU EVER THOUGHT YOU KNEW SOMEONE

You ever thought you knew someone,
Someone who was supposed to be your friend,
Someone who was supposed to be there for you.
You ever thought you knew someone,
Then that someone turns there back to you,
Turns there back and looks away.
You ever thought you knew someone,
A true friend never lies to you,
People who lie are not your friends.
You ever thought you knew someone,
I did;
Then she turned on me, looked to better things,
Better things that I couldn't give her.
You ever thought you knew someone,
She told me that she would always be there,
She was for awhile.
You ever thought you knew someone,
Then she met someone,
Someone who she loved & cared for more than anyone,
She once told me no one could come between our friendship guy or girl.
The he came into her life,
He took her from me,
I resent him for that.
You ever thought you knew someone,
I used to, but now I don't.

I wish poetry like this would never have to be written- because things like this are so destructive- ya know? The poem- even though sad, was very well written and i liked it very much. Keep it up.
