What would you do,
If I decided to walk away?
Would you let these wings fly,
Or beg me to stay?

What would you say,
If I let the fires burn?
Would you abandon me,
Or would you finally learn?

What would you think,
If I said you were my pain?
Would you lash out at me,
Or try to make it right again?

What would you do,
If the water's grew torrent?
You'd stand upon the beach,
And watch my downward descent.

You never really cared,
So alone I drown in my tears.
Does it satisfy you to know,
That I've been broken by my fears?

A most excellent poem, your majesty! A melodic verse to grace these unworthy ears. A sorrowful note hangs in that melody of beauty, much enjoyed! My deepest, thanks, great Queen, for your posting of this wonderful work.
