trust me, life is not so bad
it's actually quite great
so put aside the lttle things,
forget about the hate

smile in the mirror
try to laugh for fun
if you learn to love yourself,
the best is far from done

look outside, it's beautiful
how lucky that we are
we're free to watch the sunrise
or wish upon a star

paint a picture of the ocean
go dancing on a cloud
listen to birds sing their song,
it's such a pretty sound

find the good in everyone,
believe that it is there
but the only way they'll open up
is if they know you care

don't take anything for granted
you can be happy if you try
so close your eyes and take a breath,
spread your wings and fly
