Here we are, on our first date don't know what to do, i'll leave it to fate you look so pretty with your flowing hair and big brown eyes more bright and beautiful than the best sunrise a love song is playing and we start to dance could this be the beginning of our romance we're dancing real close, your body pressed to mine i'm overcome with a "high" that seems to freeze time palms sweating, heart beating, what should i say you notice me staring, i quickly turn away the music finally stops, i don't want it to end but you say you want to introduce me to some of your friends you reach out to me, and my hand i extend your hand is in mine, and it all feels so right i've never felt like i do tonight and i pray to God you feel this way too at least for me, this feeling is new so i quietly ask of the heavens above what is this feeling? could this be love |

Hi! This is really nice! I enjoyed hearing a guys' thoughts about a first date!! It's great! I love the line: "i'm overcome with a "high" that seems to freeze time." Don't you love that feeling!!!  It's kinda nice to hear something that's happy and upbeat! Good poem!MELISSA |

I always know that a poem is awesome when it makes me have a funny feeling of remembrance... That was one of the best poems that I have read here.
