Silver eternity
A bottomless pit
A graveyard for papers
Or what else you see fit
A silver container
For bent paper clips
Gum wads and wrappers
And little paper snips
Foil and pop cans
Papers and pens
A desolate wasteland
For now and again
Sometimes foul odors
Come from this can
Created by nature
Put there by man
A weekly collection
It's empty again
In a few more days
It'll be filled up, and then
This cold piece of metal
Will be useful once more
To sit in its place
And used only for
Foil and pop cans
Papers and pens
A desolate wasteland
For now and again

Excellently written. It's not often you see a truly light hearted peice. Well done!

Re-post to my last. When I said light-hearted I meant it's a topic you don't see often. Anyways I hope you got what I meant. Welcome to Passions.
