Shadows fall around me,
So stealthily in the night.
They scream for me to be,
Everything that I fight.

Shadows encompass my mind,
This web entangles my thought.
The tighter it does wind,
The more I wish I had fought.

Shadows take over my all,
My soul becomes dark.
My spiraling fall,
Drones the sound of a lark.

Shadows turn everything shades of black.
Confusion lies in their folds.
On light does a shadow turn its back,
On darkness, their grip holds.

Shadows overcome my whole.
They consume me to the innermost part.
They enter my soul,
And take over my heart.

Shadows block the sounds
Of everything I knew.
I have been taken away from the bounds
Where breezes of home once blew.

This cold darkness holds the key,
To what hot fire seems to be.

great poem chartiy! good job of discribing how the shadows and darkness surround u and get in side u. good job buddy!!
