To Readers: Sorry I haven't been on. I've been busy. But heh, Venus is back!

Fire burns my soul.
And I pray for it to stop.
The old me would have fought.
But all this me can do is resign.

A fire in me is gone.
What made me me is dead.
And out of blind frustration,
A new me is born.

The helpless rage descends.
Reprimanded and dictated to,
All I can do is resign.
I try, but I never succeed.

All I can do is resign.
Why can I no longer fight?
Blind and helplessly trapped by my own mind,
Trapped by my own hopeless problems.

But I will no longer resign alone.
Like the flag going bravely to it's grave,
A proud death,
I too, will resign. But only by fire.

I liked this, but the last stanza doesn't make much sense to me- How does resigning by fire make it so that youa re not resigning alone?

Thinking is just what a great many people think they are doing when they are merely rearranging their predjudices.
