Love's calendar knows no boundaries
of time or space
just eternal marks on the walls of my heart
measuring each day
that you are part of my life
I am blessed
by you
by your love
by the fact that you accept me as I am
broken and bruised
unworthy and tear-worn
for forever and three weeks
I'll mark another day
on the calendar of our love
each night I'll count the seasons
of us
by the stars in the skies
by the clouds that swirl
overhead
as they chant down their angry call
I'll just laugh and remember who it is
who gives me love
unconditionally
unswervingly
unfailingly

angel - I wish I could write with such conviction and purpose when it comes to love. unfortunately, all I know is heartache and sorrows.

Nice poem...You do very well gal!

Love's calendar just ain't nice to me,
Seems as though I find,
Every day of every week
It's menstrual period time?

I guess it's just the time of month,
Or another little headache,
But still I seem to make it through,
This way she doesn't need to fake?

I guess it could be so much worse,
I could be like Balladeer,
Loving yourself is okay I guess,
But it's a lonely life for sure!

ROFLMAO.... somehow the mood inspired by Angel's poem changed as I read through the responses! *G* Great job, Angel...

And Toe: You poor dear.... life just isn't kind at all, is it, sweets? But even in your despair you can count your blessings... recognizing that there are those worse off than you!

Unconditional love is the greatest gift a person could ever recieve. If you are lucky enough to have experienced that, there is a spot in your heart I'm sure no anger could ever reach, a place that will always be a warm sanctuary for you throughout your life.
Beautiful work, Angel. I'm so happy to see you here.
