JUST ROCKS

just rocks
no sheen
or shine
just rocks

no jewels these
but stout
and proud
only stones

no glow
from within
only glazed
sea-salt green

bouncing sunshine
from their surface
at water’s edge
linger patiently

ocean fringe
partially smoothed
by persistent waves
remain impassive

indulgent boulders
frame the jeweled sea
no gleam of their own
usurp the bright glory

just rocks
no sheen
or shine
just rocks

Just rocks, but still a beautiful part of the landscape aren't they?! Just beautiful your poem is too!
