I sit here near the window
looking out on the clouds
it probably will rain again
it always does somehow

I see a lonely Seagull
rushing back to the shore
it surely will come back again
to see of town some more

A cat stalks down the alley
a hunter smooth and sleek
he must have spotted something good
watch out mice ! Not a squeek !

For once the streets are quiet
no honking horns to hear
just little children laughing
a sound to me so dear

Then why do I feel lonely
inside a yearning call
perhaps I do not like this time
the ending of the Fall

When everything seems grey-ish
and everything seems lost
just waiting for the change to come
the season filled with frost

Another Fall’s almost gone
I feel an ache in me
and ask myself from deep within
why this melancholy ?

I look out through my window
this day’s worthy to live
snap out of it, you silly girl !
today’s another gift !

The beginning of winter can seem a bit depressing at times. But spring is never that far away! Nice poem, Munda!
