We have a strange kinship, A link across the seas, A blossoming new friendship, Someone new to laugh with and tease. It happened rather suddenly, Almost beyond our control, And with this gift of sisterhood, My life takes on a new role. We have a lot in common, We think alike in many ways, Someone new to share with, To help ease the lonliness of my days. Even if it's only musings left behind, In a poem you wrote today, I've spent some more time getting to know you, In a very special way. So far it's been quite wonderful, I hope our relationship continues to grow, To help one another through those down times, We reap the harvest that we sow. So my thanks and love to Marilyn, My new found soul sister and friend, May our friendship continue to grow, And never come to an end.
