I want you. To say I love you Is to me unsatisfactory For I can not begin to reiterate What I truly feel inside. All I want is to hold you, To kiss you with my peasant lips Upon your regal forehead And to but carress the strands Of gold and honey That pour out from your crown. To drink the wine That trickles from your lips And drives me so far into your soul And into madness That I can't contain my love. I am drawn to you Like a deer to water, Like an eagle to the air. To behold the daisies That from your feet bloom Or the dandelions That from your eyelashes sprout. Fulfill. All I can do is attempt To fulfill you with my love, A love I've held for so long. This world is suffocating, This love is overtaking. I'm suffocating from this feeling, This desire, this random nothing Of pineapple's tart acid And orange's sweet life blood. Let me but drink of your happiness, Of your eyes, lips, and soul, And hold steadfast what I know to be true. I love you, I love you. I can not say it any other way. I love you. |
