With apologies to Mr. Sandman. *G*

Oh, Mr. Robot, lend me a trick
I need to understand just what makes you tick.
How do you stand there, so unfeeling
When every day sets my senses reeling?
Mr. Robot - Oh, where were you
When I stood hand in hand and said "I do"
To someone that I so trusted?
Too darn bad that he was so disgusted.
Mr. Robot, I sure could have used
Your fortitude when I was abused...
Who's that creature there in the corner?
Why didn't anyone bother to warn her?
Mr. Robot, I just couldn't learn.
I kept loving and kept getting burned.
In a meeting, facing the snickers
Surely there most be some death quicker
Than knowing the love of your life
Early last week took him a wife...
I willed myself to a vacant stare
But how I wanted to just not care!
Oh Mr. Robot, you do look so kind.
Please explain, if you wouldn't mind
How I can escape from this hell?
Mr. Robot, lend me your shell!

Lor & Hoot: I hope creative is good? LOL. Thanks for reading.

Lor: Would it destroy all your illusions to know that this was born while I was taking a bubble bath, singing that ole 40's tune Mr. Sandman to myself? Self-preservation is powerful... I think my mind devised this poem to quieten the noise! *G*

Creative is good!

I too sing to myself and LJA smiles at me and makes me feel self-concious...but I like having a song in my heart!

( "Mr. Sandman" continues.......)

Hey, there, Suthern,
You're such a mess
You're overloaded
With nerves and with stress
You bet your savings
on that foolish slow nag
Thinking to win with that
Nogoodnik Toerag!

Hey, there, Suthern
Don't waste your time
Find other poets
That don't fracture rhyme

And move right up to quality
Hey there, Suthern, dump Toe. Pick me!

Well done Suthern. I too find the shower is a place where poetic ideas come about. Something to do with water and the flow of ideas? Hmmmm.... Oh well, again, thanks for the read.

Suthern,
What the hell you don't need a shell
Shells are for snails you need a sail.
Sails are for ships that sail the sea.
And the water is fine just sail with me.
Just write yourself a queen in a dream.
Make it a good one if you know what I mean.
A dream will not keep you overlong, but
Warm, until mister right comes along. *L*
