Aaaaaaaaah if only I could look at the world differently,
Perhaps through the eyes of a child, my son,
To once again have the innocence of the ages,
Knowing nothing will really come undone.

He hasn't faced any trials yet,
Or any major illness or upsets,
Just the odd little smack or discipline,
Nothing would be better I'd bet!

To believe in ol' Santa again,
So excited for the month of December,
And especially on Christmas eve,
Santa has to stop, he'll remember.

Knowing no real sorrows,
Each morning an exciting new day,
Only a happy, learn filled future to look forward to,
Nothing can stand in your way.

Having no reall worries that last,
The world is a wonderful place,
I do wish I could be like that again sometimes,
When I look down at his sweet little face.

There's also the Easter Bunny to wait on,
How many eggs will I get this year,
He's a generous little bunny rabbit,
I have nothing to fear.

I don't mind going anywhere,
Cos I am safe with Mummy and Daddy,
And even if I am somewhat naughty,
They will always again hug and love me.

My whole life is just beginning,
What wonder's will I find?
I have lots of people who love me,
Who'll never leave me behind.

Aaaaaaaaah I'd love to experience that innocence again,
Each day forth filled with wonder,
And life would only get better,
As I learnt from each mistake or blunder.

I'd love to look at the world through the eyes of a child again. To not know about the hurt that's out there, to not realize the fears or not know how to not trust. I can relate to this one
