Vegas in the summer, is one twenty in the shade- But it’s lovely in December, when the Finals have been made. You are so doggone itchy, can’t wait till it begins- You’ve made it to the Finals, all you have to do is win. Eighty thousand miles this year, you’ve had a lot of luck- At drawing bulls who weren’t too mean, and horses that could buck. You’ve only gotten hung up twice, and neither time was bad- You rode them hard, and spurred them clean, and gave it all you had. You’ve had some honest judges, the horses were the same- The times that you’ve been goose-egged, you know you were to blame, Ten times you’ll try your hand out here, then it all begins again- You’ve made it to the Finals, all you have to do is win. All you ever wanted, was to ride the Rodeo- To sack your clothes and riggin’ and to go on down the road. You’ve tried your hand on real rough stock, and rougher, meaner men- You’ve made it to the Finals, all you have to do is win. |
