An Angel Remembers Hey, I know you! I feel the love Even though I rest In heaven above. And you might wear A stranger’s face, But love like yours Time can’t erase. My first few years Were spent with you. You loved me then And you still do. Though I grew up From you apart, I knew the love Of your dear heart. You put my needs Before your own - No greater love Could you have shown. You gave me hugs. You gave me laughter. You gave me hope For happy ever after. I wish that we Could have been friends. A little more time, We would have been. I’m sorry that I had to leave. I know that you Will always grieve. But I am with you Every day - In smiles you give, In words you say To give relief To someone’s pain, In bright spring flowers, In summer rain, The blue of a Clear autumn sky. For in your heart I did not die. And on the coldest Winter’s night I’ll be with you And hold you tight. I’ll be the comfort You always find When life’s trials Batter your mind. A rainbow arc Heaven to earth Will remind you Of my birth. Hey, I’d know you From any other! Your name is "love" - You are my mother. I hope you'll not be angry with me for posting this but it made me smile and made me cry, made me want to hug you so very much for knowing and loving me..this poem alone makes me take up the fight for life again.... Bless you MotherHen...you truly are a woman with a mother's heart! A little chick sheltering under a loved wing..:-)) I promise not to mention sadness again but this got to me bigtime!!!! ------------------ You give but little when you give of your possessions. It is when you give of yourself that you truly give. |

It would be rather silly for me to write something hoping to make a tough time easier and then get angry with you for showing me I succeeded! *G* And there's nothing you could say that could have pleased me more than this "makes me take up the fight for life again." If I were more coordinated, I'd do cartwheels at that thought... but since I'm a klutz, I'll settle for yelling YEEEEEE-HAH! *G* I do know you and love you... and there's always shelter under these wings, dear chick...
