It came upon the midnight hour,
the moon was full and bright.
The dew upon the grass glistened,
dancing in the light.

Floating on the air,
there blowed a steady breeze.
Gently caressing my body,
and singing with the trees.

I walked alone through the night,
to a place that was no more.
A place of mystics and magics,
where hopes and dreams could soar.

I came upon a clearing,
Oh what a glorious sight.
People dancing in circles,
underneath the bright moonlight.

For it 'twas the summer solstice,
where we dance naked under the moon.
To rid ourselves of evil,
and let our passions live true.

We call our dance the Moonlit Praise,
for the moon gives us our power.
We dance completely naked,
all but a ring of flowers.

The smell of a hundred daises,
rises up through the air.
The smell so glorious and relaxing,
another joy which we all share.

Our time is growing short,
another summer solstice come and gone.
The moon will head to bed,
giving way to dawn.

We all quietly retreat,
each to their own direction.
Not to return for another year,
to rid themselves of eartly addictions.

Bach through the darkness,
I walk once again.
The trees, they all bow,
and greetings, they send.

And then it comes upon the dawning hour,
the sun is new and bright.
The dew upon the grass glistens,
dancing in the light.

Wonderful transitions. Good poem.
