Weave me a dream, Dreamweaver,
Paint my nightime sky.
Help me see with your bleary eyes
Those so very far from mine.
Help me live through long lost loves
and friends so far away.
Help prepare me nightly
For the things I face each day.
Spin me a tale of dreams' then yarn
An emote brave and strong
Then let me rest comforted in those arms
Of love and life and song.
Build me up to face the day
It comes with no regret
For I know that come next eve
You'll be waiting in my bed.
So weave me a dream, Dreamweaver,
Let your loving arms embrace me.
And take me to that shining place
Where your dreams carress me.

Once I was brilliant, now I no longer shine, but the twinkle in my eye speaks of another time.

Beautiful poem, Robert,

Help me see with your bleary eyes
Those so very far from mine.
Help me live through long lost loves
and friends so far away.

These are some very powerful lines...they sure say alot to me.

Very enjoyable piece.

And after-drunkeness of soul
Succeeds the glory of the bowl -
An idle longing night and day
To dream my very life away

EAP
but a dream within a dream?
