Listening to every heart

October Boon

There are reasons, I do not jest,
why I like October best…
for chill winds chase clouds away,
moon and stars seem here to stay.

Glowing brightly, in full glory
hangs the moon, and it’s surely
bringing with it moonlight’s charms
staving away any werewolf’s harm.

October leaves crackling underneath,
and like a dagger to a sheath
my coat is wrapped around my arms,
the lone wolf’s howl brings no alarm.

Moonlight brightly hanging nightly
under which the crops find harvest,
moonlight shimmers, growing dimmer
as sunlight comes for Octoberfest.

Through the daylight I shall ponder
and through leaves I shall wander
‘till I find again sweet night’s moon
to me known as October’s boon.

Sunshine,
Some wonderful catchy lines like
Moonlight brightly hanging nightly.
And others, Good job, enjoyed the read.

October is a boon, and you said it well Sunshine.

October can be a sweet month, crackling leaves, freshness in the night air...hadn't slowed down enough to notice in awhile...thank you Sunshine.
