God's Crossword Puzzle

As with any crossword, the words can be read across or downward:

God, reveal thy will that I may serve,
As this will bestow honor from any man.
I plan for works serving your cause, too,
Yet being loving over your church, glorifying all..
Seek ye first the kingdom of God, praying,
For known in mind-sets prevails man who suffers
Answers to all, that wherever love is true,
Tonight, all things are possible within Christ, Amen.

Since I couldn't get the spacing right and color coding downward is a nightmare in itself...this is what the downward message says.

God as I yet seek for answers tonight,
Reveal this plan, being ye, known to all
Thy will, for loving first in all things
Will bestow works over the mind-sets that are.
That honor serving your kingdom prevails wherever possible.
I, from your church of man, love within.
May any cause glorifying God, who is Christ,
Serve man too. All praying suffers true, Amen.

Michael

Wow Michael! What work that you put into this. Truely an awesome piece. Glorifying God you've done well! I'm sure HE is smiling upon you! Thanks so much for the uplift I really needed this!

Michael,
God bless, I tried sometning like this many years ago where the reader could rear across,
down every other line and upside down even from right to left, but never pursued it. Great job.

This was amazing. I can think of no other word worthy of such a display of talent.

Well, Chris,
It may have taken God to help me finish this piece but you were the sole inspiration...better get on that horse, my next one may have a diagonal message in it to boot.

Denise, not genious, just too much time on my hands and a severe case of insomnia, I fear.

Femme, I could smear mud on you and you'd still be the most beautiful person in the world...nothing could ever make you look bad.

Everyone else, I thank you for your comments, I did dig pretty deep on this one in more ways than one, your comments are very well recieved.

I consider myself fortunate if my words make sense reading across... if they actually form a half-way decent poem, I'm ecstatic. However much time you had on your hands, your results still leave me flabbergasted! LOL. Methinks you got more than your share of talent... and since I know I got short-changed, I'd be jealous as hell if you hadn't used it so well! *G* Great job, Michael!

Michael, you sure are making us newbies look bad. I just finished my first acrostic (Love is Wonderful) and then you go and do something like this. I bet Gen rubs my nose in it too...lol (j/k...)

I don't even know if this form has a name. Who would attempt it? Who could do it? Well, I guess you answered those questions. I christen thee a Mikerostic!!

Truly a brilliant job, Michael. One who puts such effort into creation is a true inspiration to us all. I can't say enough.

And here I thought a double acrostic was tuff! WOW! Forward and backwards, up and down... WOW! all the way around. Most excellent and I thank you for the time and effort you dedicated to this piece. I echo all the above. My hat's off to you.

Michael, sending this one to Rebecca, it is not only a wonderful poem up, down and sideways, but so inspiring.  I wish you would post more often.
