Il Suono di Bellezza
(the sound of beauty)

With the sweet breath of an angel
the sound pours from his throat
A noise so beautiful that life
stops to listen…
He embraces the quiet of the
calm sea and lends it to
us to hear, we who don't know it
The love of the music
comes from within him and
he shares it with grace, with
nobleness, with powerful
images that float off his tongue,
so that we may see in our minds
what cannot be seen with the eye
but what is eternally implanted
on his soul
I close my eyes, and listen, listen…
His words, the sound, the beauty
resonates in my senses
My dreams ordained to music…
Un rumore, il vento lo sveglia
( a noise, the wind awakes me)

And with this, you said it all:
"with powerful
images that float off his tongue,
so that we may see in our minds
what cannot be seen with the eye
but what is eternally implanted
on his soul"
Magnificent, beautiful...etc...amazing!

Absolutely, Caroline. How wonderfully and accurately you have described it. " A noise so beautiful that life stops to listen." Thank you for posting this. A copy goes on my wall.

Beautifully put. An image per line worth a thousand normal words....

Many thanks for all of you... Balladeer's "Fourth Tenor" reminded me of this one (I wrote it a long time ago!) and I thought to post it for him as we obviously are both fans of the opera

Toe!!! *LOL* Didn't you see the "disclaimer" at the bottom? This was actually inspired by a superb Italian singer named Andrea Bocelli.
But I'd give Balladeer a listen! LOL...oh and btw...I've seen him...he doesn't look like a bug at all! heheheh
