The clime of time

June of nineteen forty two
That is when she came to view.
Not to my eyes but to my heart,
With just a tweak a twinge to start.

She smiled a fatal smile at me
That touched the edge of flattery
And I was smitten overall,
Almost completely I recall.

When we touched the magic flared
It blossomed to a full declare.
And I was stopped in awes derail,
By the voice of a nightingale.

Or so it did appear to me.
Eyes of the heart see differently.
They see within a new born clime
That has nothing to do with time.

Years have flowed though I'm not aware
And the mirror shows a difference there.
But I don't see the mirrors view.
For I'm still back in forty two.

To me it's always forty two.
For that's the way my heart sees you.

True love never grows old, Seymour, a beautiful poem.

Delightful Seymour...Absolutely delightful! This is how love sees the world. Not in the age that we live but the age of the heart. Very well written my friend.

Your poetry is always worth reading and you never disappoint. This one is as brilliant as the rest or even a touch more so.

Well done.

Nothing to say that hasn't already been said, so I'll just say a simple "good job!"

I'm so glad to see one who has kept his word, and his wife.

Well done, and thank you, Sy, for giving the rest of us hope. Now, just print out all of your rules...
