TONIGHT

Could I ever put to words
The joy of your kiss?
Have I the right to count the days
Between us that we miss?

My life I found within your eyes
And the smile on your face.
I found warmth and love inside your arms
In the strength of your embrace.

You touch with the hand of an angel.
You love with a heart of gold.
Could I be the one to listen
As the mysteries unfold?

For love to thee is sacred,
A priceless jewel secretly sought.
But love just can't be taken,
And true love can't be bought.

The magic of my nights with you
Will forever burn a light.
Within my heart, within my soul,
And on my darkest night.

I could show you a love to last forever,
Just daydreams in the night.
But if we can't share a love to last forever,
Let us love forever tonight.

I adore the last stanza. Though I am but recently arrived here myself, I welcome you.

Yes, welcome.

You will not be dreaded by me, I loved this poem, the last stanza especially.
