I am so sorry that your friend has been put through such a tragedy, but I am sooo happy that he has a "true" friend in you. He, his family, and you will be in our prayers.

sharon, this is beautiful and sad, the son of a good friend was badly burned and it is a very slow healing process, you and your friend have my prayers

Even without the explanation, this poem grips me.  Then I read the note at the bottom and .. well, it hit me harder.  I have seen what fire can do - it is my deepest fear to be burned.  This poem has power.
