The days seem to grow shorter
The light don't last so long
Though we'll gain an hour
Now the darkness comes on strong

The chill that comes with night time
The northern winds now blow
Chilling me to the bone
In the cold my breath does show

It's that time of year again
Time rolls an hour back
Extra hour at night
Earlier out of the sack.

Don't forget the thirty first
It's more than Halloween
It's daylight savings time
In one night the two convene

Cute poem WhtDove. But aren't we switching to Standard Time? (which is really the REAL time) And if we're rolling the clock back aren't we actually getting up later than if we hadn't turned the clock back? I AM SO CONFUSED! What's the deal with daylight savings time anyway? It's not like we are still predominantly a land of farmers as we once were. Why can't we just stay on Standard Time all year 'round?

At least if I forget in the fall, I just arrive at church early and pretend it was my intention all along to go to Sunday School... but forgetting in the spring and arriving late is downright embarrassing! LOL

I prefer the Spring forward to the Fall back myself

I don't like it when the days are short...it makes me incredibly tired and grouchy! (As opposed to my normally tired and grouchy self...LOL)

Good poem Whtdove! I like

heheh shhhh, don't tell my kids. LOL

Thanks Caroline! I'd rather have the spring and gain an hour too. I want my cake and eat it to so to speak. LOL

LOL Christopher...I will probably forget too, I'll remember all week, until it gets here then I'll forget all about it. HEHE

Very nice reminder! But I retired and the battery pooped out on the alarm clock, all in the same week. For a while longer, I'll run on Ohme's Twilight Saving time!
