Do you wonder at love?
Do you wonder at pain?
Do you wonder why men,
Kill again and again?

Do you wonder at joy?
Do you wonder at sorrow?
Do you wonder why some,
Have to "beg, steal and borrow?"

Do you wonder at truth?
Do you wonder at lies?
Do you wonder why some,
Bear no honest replies?

Do you wonder at life?
Do you wonder at death?
Do you wonder why all,
Have to take a last breath?

Do you wonder why I ask?
Do you wonder why I care?
Do you wonder why you wonder,
when life is so unfair?

Well, no to everything but the last one. I am always waiting for justice to ring truth into this life...gonna be waiting a long time I'm sure. Seriously, a good poem Chris with a lot of good points to "wonder" about.

Chris dear - you have been wondering indeed! I'm sure you can come up with some answers...and dispute them endlessly! Like this I do! Got me wondering too....

Food for thought!I'm not sure about all the things I wonder about. But must be included there somewhere. Christopher, I thought the poem delightful.

The world is full of wonders;
That much is plainly true --
But often they escape us
In everyday's ado.

You've offered up the questions
That we forget to ask;
'Tis quite a gift you given
In this poetic task!

OK, so my reply was really poor poetry. But I liked the poem and disagree most vehemently that this is any proof of your lack of attention to poetry. A heart well-done!

WOW!
I must say that I hardly expected anyone to respond to this, much less with praise! I was kind of expecting to be met with mocking laughter or something like that....thank you friends...I am glad I made you wonder!
