The tide rolls in,
To greet the din,
Caused by the death of day.
And here I sit,
Forstalling it,
I still have to play
Upon the strings
Of day-bright dreams
And wings of sunset hosts.
And the song I'll sing
To you I'll bring;
To the one I love the most.

Beautiful little song. Has a good flow to it. I love the line:

Upon the strings
Of day-bright dreams

Well done.

You just got the compliment of all compliments from Miss Nan herself!! (ahem) She happens to be quite picky as she is a teacher, and a darn good nit-pick on poetry too! hehe
As I'm learning quickly myself, your poetry has a really interesting story behind it....I see your thoughts run deep too.....BRAVO! I also look forward to more of your posts !!

Something I'd like to sing along to!

------------------
*Elizabeth*

"Dwelt a maid belov'd and cherish'd by high and low,
But with autumn leaf she perish'd, long time ago..."

"Something sweet, something sort of grandish, sweeps my soul when thou art near..."
