Walking through Time
Pebbles 'neath my feet
Wait for my passing,
My absence do they greet.
For, if my stride did halt,
Bruised would some be,
And others left unturned,
Never touched by me.
While pebbles wait yet for me,
And Darkness fades from Sun,
I must continue walking
'Til my walking days are done.

A very interesting perspective, webmaster.
Indeed, if we were to halt our walk some would be bruised...but it's those lying ahead of us who we'd never meet where the greatest hurt would lie. Wonderful allusion here.

This is a very nicely woven metaphor, Robert...
