Faraway Smile~

sometimes when she doesn't watch herself closely enough
sometimes when she's tired or weak or hurting
her armor slips
and this tiny hint of wistfulness breaks through
like sunlight through stormy clouds
and her eyes soften (in remembrance)
and her lips come together just so
(in a funny little half-smile/half-frown)
and her heart is carried away- over time - over space
to that special secret place
where her real heart resides
~on a normal day, she usually only lingers a moment~
but today, when she's reminded so deeply why her heart broke the first time
she retreats into her garden
and lingers, lingers long
~as she smiles her faraway smile and remembers someones beautiful azure smile~

THE END

Nice poem *8)
It sort of reminds me of times when I almost blurt out someone's name (totally out of context to everything around me) because I'm thinking of her so much.

I know this place and you brought tears to these eyes. I reside there all too often. You describe myself very well.

Very nice, I enjoyed reading this. The flow carried me through to the end before I realized it!

Your words are always so beautiful, Izzy. You paint your feelings so well it's like the reader is right there with you.
