My soul sips wine

The ocean is mad today.
Wild winds add a salty spray.
My face is saline with brine.

It crashes on the beach in waves.
In rolling grasping conclaves.
Washing foam and running lines.

Then backwards rushes the flow.
Sweeping under the next row.
And dark sands leave outline signs.

It is here I wean unseen.
It is here I reap and glean.
It is here my soul sips wine.

This is very good. I love the imagery. I love to watch the ocean too.

Yum Yum...where is the sea that I may go and sip wine. My soul has been wanting to "sip wine" every since I moved from Santa Rosa, Florida to Texas. Excellent work.

Ahhhhh....the deep, majestic sea, even her fury is lovely and, like you, is where my soul longs ever to be. But in the meantime thank you for this magnificent glimpse of my most favorite place in the world.
Please pass the wine! Or is this a byob type of thing?

What are we drinking? I'll take a nice merlot, if you have one; they go well with seawater I've found!

This was a lovely poem, sounds like a beach 10 minutes from my place.

Wow, Seymour,
You always have such a neat style in presenting your work. This one, too, has it very own texture to it...beautifully done and quite relaxing to read.

Sounds like a place we all should go--beautiful imagery, I could see the waves crashing on the shore. Now I feel like I'm there.
