He called upon me last night, in the midst of a lonely hour. He cried my name silently, as he hinted of loneliness. He calmly spoke words that, at the time, I craved to hear. He confessed his guilt to me, in his own subtle way. He talked of his problems, that couldn't even compare to mine. He whispered heartfelt promises in my ear, that I knew were lies. The stars hung lower last night, for my heart and soul were in pain. The winds blew colder, for the feeling of emptiness returned. The moon disappeared last night, for all the feelings came back to me. I've missed his gentle touch, calming me in troubled times. I've needed his warm embrace to soothe me on cold nights. I've craved his sensual love to satisfy my every desire. But the fear of his rejection still haunts me now. Although he is the one crawling back to me. I just don't think I am able to let him back into my heart. He has caused me much pain, but he has granted me love. He has shone me kindness, but also hate and despair. He has lied to me, and deceived me, beyond the hearts acceptance.
