Can Our Love Be Rekindled?

My soul has been naked
For so very long.
I put a distance between us.
I know I did you wrong.

In your night I was a thief
Telling lies between my teeth.
My mornings are no longer the same,
Can we rekindle love’s flame???

As long as my breath is in me,
I now know...I will always love you tenderly.
I know that you need time
And I will give you the necessary space.
Only extend to me a piece of your dear and loving grace.

I know it’s not that easy.
My frivolous ways have made you dizzy.
Don’t blame you if you don’t want to rekindle a love I delayed.
Betraying our love,
Will be the price I paid.
