Purgatorial Incarceration

0 posted 1999-10-20 03:21 AM

Burdened by a rail of hopes,
and countless dreams of morality-
mankind lies buried,
beneath a divagation of timeless mis-conceptions.
What can and cannot be.
We are hindered,
impededed by the fear-
of our own imaginations.

Prone to push our limits,
yet doomed never to succeed.

And yet we can

-BELIEVE-

that across the threshold of the unknown,
lies true understanding
-of the past that is our future-
-and the tomorrow that is our destiny-

For splashed across the realms,
of endless possibilities,
-lay the precepts of immortality.

Yeah, Chris,
I'm with Hoot on this one...What the heck is a "Double Entendre", you just made that up to confuse me, huh? Very powerful piece,

Prone to push our limits,
yet doomed never to succeed.

Those two lines are a poem by themselves.

WOW - I missed this before dear. Awesome.
YOU mix your words so well!!! So then - what ARE your precepts of immortality?

Oh Hoot and Michael - a double E is a word or phrase with two meanings - the hidden one is usually sexually suggestive.
HAHA Chris - I beat you!!!

Excellent, Christopher. If we didn't exercise that belief, life would be a sorry state of affairs. Happiness is belief in the unbelievable.
