Van Winkle Syndrome

Is it really so.....
that yesterday was twenty years ago?
Perhaps just blissful slumbering
Van Winkle Syndrome is so encumbering.
Oh what wondrous dreams were dreamt
it hardly seems two decades spent.
But yet the mirror reflects no lies
and only corrects what one justifies.
Today is tomorrow and tomorrow is today
over seven thousand times it has been that way.
Though at the speed of life it all happens so fast
just wish for the future and it's gone to the past.
So wherever I'm at, I'm glad you're still here
to take memories with me for some other year.

Im not sure I understand what some of thelines mean in this one. Like "Today is tomorrow and tomorrow is today"

Care to elaborate?

Marilyn, a "poet" from another forum sent me a virus and I lost everything on my computer. I am on my son's now until mine comes back for the shop.
