I held my tears for quite some time till anger ran them dry
I went to say the last good bye and give my reason why
As I walked into the living room the tv set was loud
I sat beside my husband, and said dear I need to talk
He looked at me and quickly said ok, what's on your mind
I started to tell how very long and very hard I've tried
To work on things that I held with in for such a long-long time
I told him of my affair with his best friend John,
how neither of us meant to stray or meant to carry on
But he was never there for me the tv set came first
and so with much thinking here, it was time for me go
All the sudden, all at once he stood and raised his hands
How could you he screamed and waved his arms you stupid so and so.....
This was the first reaction I've ever seen
come from my man Joe.....
How could you be so stupid how could you do this thing
With head in hands he jumped about, stomping and muttering,
Then he looked at me and softly said I'm sorry, what did you say?
And pointed to the television and said "he used an "E" where an "A" was needed to play"

Excellent! If it wasn't so sad it would be funny!

Tori this is sad, but the end wants to make you laugh. I can only say I understand this. I know what you write. I've been there. I see this was 1980 and would assume things are different or your in a different relationship? I hope so. Meaning I hope things are better. You know I'm always here for ya if ever need to talk. HUGS
