I see the worry in your eyes
frustration is your emotion.
For at this time we are apart
itís difficult to show devotion.

The minutes tick by so quickly,
two hours is not long.
To share with you my troubles
and tell you what is wrong.

You tend to lead the topics
you want to hear of me.
Your need for my description
of all you can not see.

I try to ask about you
your answer is the same.
That you are doing all right
and your happy that I came.

Though Iíve not missed a visit
in going on two years.
I tell you that I love you,
but to lose me is your fear.

I know that there will come a time
when I can wrap you in my arms.
Can keep you there forever
safe from all life's harm.

There will come a time my love
when youíll be home with me.
And I can comfort you with love
and not just poetry.

I understand.

Your verse is a comfort, though does not compare with holding the one you love.

Nothing is worse than sorrow,
except perhaps disdain.
I'll be myself tomorrow,
tonight I'll feel the pain.

Well done, Lucie! We give what we can when we can... and hope their hearts hear all the rest. *S*

Ok, ok, it was a tear jerker. Very good expression! I enjoyed this read and it was heartfelt.
