How I wish there was someone
To care about my tears.
But alone I am and I alone
Must face life and its fears.
I feel much pain when my friends hurt
They, in turn, hurt for me.
But limitations are inherent
In long distance sympathy.
I can't wrap them in my hugs
Or ease their aching heart.
I can only send my love
As I wish we weren't apart.
And my cats offer company
But tears they cannot dry.
If there were arms to hold me close
Perhaps I would not cry.

well you get 4 or 5 hugs from me, and a well done!

and there's one nice thing about long distance hugs, its that the person can't squirm out of them, you just hit them with one(or five lol) and that's that

Ahhh yes...I do so well know the feelings in this poem. I have a cyber family and I wish I could have them all close, even just for a small piece of time. Then the warmth of the hugs can be felt when they are extended. Well done suthern.

Hoot: Believe me, that support and those cyberhugs mean a lot! *S*

Munda: Thank you! And yes... I did! *G* I don't often try to answer the challenges, because my first response is always "I can't." It's a pleasant surprise to realize I can! *G*

Marilyn: Amen!!! *S* Thank you!

Suthern I'm sorry I missed this while upfront. I have just been busy! I love this poem! I hate to admit, but I'm with ya on this one dear. As far as crying goes, I usually do it alone. So here's a
(((BIG HUG))) from me! Even though it's only a cyber one!

Suthern, you would always get a big hug from me. Just because that meanie Toe won't give you the attention you so desperately crave and deserve, please know that I would always put my arms around you (after checking both hands for sharp objects that could inflict bodily harm on me)

Thanks, 'Deer one... it warms my heart and comforts me in the night to know you see me as such a desperate woman... your sympathy brings a tear to my eye and a lump to my throat... Here, gimme a hug... this hat pin should do wonders for perking up your afternoon... and watch for swiftly lifted knees! LOL
