My Love is Forever

In the space between moments

Rose wings of fantasy beckon me,
Riding upon winds of creamy gold.
Isles of gleaming emerald I see,
Whispering ancient mysteries untold.

Beauty paints the twinkling sky,
And voices of the past quietly echo.
Upon a silver breath wishes fly,
Telling me to join the world below.

But beauty is but a pale visage,
An essence like a shallow sea.
I shall not visit such a mirage,
For love there shall never truly be.

I'd much rather wade through life,
Trudging through bitter tears and pain.
Knowing I'd forever share your strife,
Upon my shoulders, your tears would rain.

Living with you would be the greatest gift,
For you are all that truly matters to me.
Knowing you love me, that is my heart's lift,
And forever my love for you shall be.
