A ROMANTIC CHOICE

{I remember it vividly,
Twas a long time ago,
For heaven hath not her beauty
Nor earth a matching glow}

I awake
From mordacious slumber
My thoughts distracted and lost
A sultry window, lies yonder
‘Tis covered in pontifical frost,
The light
It shines though brightly
And permutates O’er the room
Touching all, so politely,
In a vaporous, woven, loom.

I peer
For ages
At the heart of that glistening light
Imagination, a conjure of images,
Angels, dancing on adolescent flight;
Each skip, and hop
In haste, they drop_ a stream of heavenly dust
I rub my eyes in disbelief
For this vision’s too much to trust.

The illume
Duth shine, a little brighter now
It hooves in deliberation, to our bed,
O woman, will you not wake up?
And join, in this, my dream instead;
Its lustre,
Enfolds your body
A storm of heavens embrace,
The dust within it smiling
To see your cherub’s face.

The angels
They are beaten
As they gaze upon a breast,
The dusts momentum fallen
For your love, they can not best;
Heaven
Hath failed_ your beauty to equate
And angels, their wings curtailed
For on clouds forlorn, they now debate,
And thus-
I write, my ink and quill my voice
At their romantic, but impetuous, choice.
