(Companion piece for 'Souls Apart' in Prose) My love - you swept in and stormed the safeholds of my heart I have no shelter now My soul - you whisper-kissed and freed fervent life with every breath I own no anchor now My heart - you listened soft and stemmed the implore of my sleeping love I'm driftwood on the sand now My dove - you broke all trance and captured close my stifled loneliness I'm safe against all tides now My love - you swept in and stormed the safeholds of my heart...
