And he ant tellen

I walked along the waters edge
My feet draged in the foam.
It pulls on me with every dredge.
Just like a coming home.

And peace climbed up my every bone
The sands were soft and gray.
The air smells an aged cologne
A special salty way.

And at the fringe I saw times track
Some shells that once had breath
It took my mind to eons back
On death, on death, on death.

How many will there live and die?
How long will be our trail?
When will come our final lie and
How many will prevail?

To what purpose, God only knows
And he ant tellen non of those.
