I hear your one voice sing a siren song.
The weight I carry would break Atlas' back.
You make right all things in life that are wrong.
Your love saves me from emotional wrack.

The soul within me was ebony black.
By your love for me my heart is annealed.
My armored shell you were the first to crack.
The faith I have in you is now my shield.

Love's place in my heart has long been concealed.
Your impassioned words are my source of hope.
Every hidden self-doubt you have revealed.
You are what my sanity needs to cope.

My captive spirit your love has set free.
Our souls intertwine in harmony.

Brother, it seems our minds walk the same path this evening, speaking of the damage done to the walls around our hearts. I share your pain as well as your hope.
Well done sir, you have peeked into my soul tonight.

Wow Dream, I'm glad you directed me to this piece! Probably the most exquiste I've read yet of yours....beautifully written, and quite magical...you show a warm side here. Nice....

Well done Dream, perfect form, flowing with emotion. Love the reference to Atlas.

Good woek.

Wonderful work straight from the heart to the pen....it is as if your formerly captive spirit leapt from deep within you to pen these eloquently stated words.

Now THIS is a Sonnet! And a beautiful one at that - the emotion of which is all too familiar.
